Grateful. That’s the word that comes to mind when I think of my gymnastics career. I’m grateful for all the countless hours of training, competing, learning, growing, and becoming. I’m grateful that God gave me an able body and mind to do the sport that I love for so many years, and gave me the opportunity to glorify Him through it all. I’m grateful for every opportunity that came from this sport; everything from competing for First in Flight Gymnastics, to representing Team Canada, to competing for the Razorbacks. I’m grateful for the University of Arkansas and all the amazing opportunities provided for student-athletes by the athletic department. I’m grateful for every coach that has helped me achieve my biggest goals, has spoken into my life, and has taught me priceless life lessons. I’m grateful for my teammates always pushing me to be my best and having my back when I needed it most. I’m grateful for my parents for always supporting me and pouring their all into this sport so I could do what I love. • Although it was a very hard decision, I’ve decided to medically retire and spend my senior year as a student coach/manager. I’ve struggled through pretty severe back pain for the past few years and with it becoming worse each year I competed, it was very hard to train the way I needed to. For that reason, it was the best decision for my body and my future. I’m doing my best to trust God’s plan through all this and continuing to thank and praise Him along the way! I’m very excited about the new role I’ll have on the team and that I won’t be leaving the gymnastics environment or Arkansas just yet! Woo pig always! ❤️ • “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” Thesselonians 5:16-18✨ #Ao1

MAKE IT HAPPEN: My Story of Gymnastics, the Olympics, and the Positive Power of Sport. This is my book and I am so proud of it. I held a freshly printed copy in my hands a couple of weeks ago and it felt so damn good. Writing this book has been a goal of mine for years and with the help of a talented team, including my co-writer @roseblythelawrence, we got it across the finish line. What a feeling! Today, I wanted to announce that I will be postponing the official release until Spring 2021. Waiting another year feels like an eternity, but considering the current circumstances, it also feels right and so I’m rolling with it. I’m too excited about this project, however, to have it sit entirely on a shelf until the launch next year. I’ve decided to read the book, one chapter a day, on my Instagram Live during the month of May. Story time with Kyle – this is going to be FUN!! Please join me starting tonight, May 1, at 8:30 p.m. (Mountain time) for the Prologue – it’s titled ‘The Landing’ and we’ll go back to that day in Stuttgart when I broke both of my legs. I’ll also post it to my IG story if you would like to listen, but can’t join in live. This project is so important to me and I’m feeling a great sense of accomplishment. Thank you all for your love and support! #makeithappenbook #storytimewithkyle #gymnastics #olympics #author #newbook #author #authorsofinstagram
