The Georgia GymDogs mean business.

It was announced Thursday that World Champions Centre’s Cecile Canqueteau-Landi, who coaches Simone Biles, and previous UGA assistant coach Ryan Roberts will lead the Bulldogs as co-head coaches in a major hire for the legendary GymDog program.

Former Georgia head coach Courtney Kupets Carter was fired last week.

Per WCC, Canqueteau-Landi will remain with the club through the Olympics. Her husband and co-coach, Laurent, will stay in Texas with their daughter, Juliette, until 2025. When Juliette heads to Auburn for diving in 2025, Laurent will move to Athens.

“We are good!” Cecile said in response to concerns about a divorce. “It was a family decision — not an easy one but one that we all agreed on and are ready to take on!

“[Laurent] is staying so our daughter can finish high school then she’ll move to Auburn for diving. He’ll join me in Athens and decide what he will want to do next!

“[Laurent is] also helping WCC with their search for new head coaches! I will be [in Athens] later this summer. Until then, level 10 national, then the elite season!”

Soon after the announcement, Biles wished her best to her current coach on Instagram, saying, “Congratulations Cecile, I can’t think of a more deserving person. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for UGA Gymnastics! Y’all are in GREAT hands! P.S. Red & black looks good on you.”
