Riley McCusker has a new home gym.

Just a week after McCusker’s head coach, Maggie Haney, was suspended by USA Gymnastics, the 2018 World Champion and current U.S. National Team member announced on Instagram that she has moved from MG Elite Gymnastics in New Jersey to Arizona Sunrays in Arizona.

Thank you Arizona Sunrays for making me feel so welcome!

Arizona Sunrays is also the home gym of McCusker’s fellow U.S. National Team teammate and Olympic hopeful Jade Carey.

Carey is coached by her father, Brian Carey.

After missing the 2019 World Championships last fall due to a muscle ailment frequently linked to overtraining, McCusker said in her post that she is, “happy, healthy, and can’t wait to see what this year brings!”

McCusker also made clear that she plans to spend the remainder of her elite career training at Sunrays.

After the Tokyo Olympics, McCusker is committed to join the Florida Gators gymnastics team in the fall, while Carey is set to begin her college career at Oregon State.

Who else is excited to see these two exceptional gymnastics train together and take on the road to Tokyo!?
