SAN JOSE, Calif. – The 2023 Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships will feature two days of junior men’s competition at the SAP Center, and we’ll have live, on-site coverage of both days here.

Day 1 is on Thursday, August 24 at 11:15 a.m. PT, and Day 2 is Saturday, August 26 at 10:15 a.m. PT.

Kai Uemura FX: A second-straight national title on the line for Kai, who already has a substantial lead on the field. Front double full to front full, small hop. BIG front double pike, large single step forward. Little under-rotated on the Randi, step forward. 2.5 to front layout, one foot OOB. Triple twist, small hop and then fights for the landing. That should do it for Kai! 13.813.

Nathan Roman has all but secured his title for the 16-year-olds after that exceptional set on parallel bars!

Nathan Roman PB: The leader after Rotation 5, there’s a national title on the line with this routine. Little slow on the handstand after his basket at the end of the bar. Bhavsar is great. Double back, small hop forward. BIG 13.761, including 0.611 bonus!

Smooth set from Kai Uemura to start his day on pommel horse. Always good to get that out of the way. Uemura is the reigning 16 y.o. champion (now he’s in the 17 division) and Winter Cup champion. He was also part of the junior worlds team earlier this year. 13.776.
