USA Gymnastics announces Olympic Trials venue change, ticket holders to be refunded

USA Gymnastics announced Tuesday that the 2021 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for gymnastics will now take place at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis instead of the previously sold out Enterprise Center – this due to “current arena capacity limits and other COVID-related challenges.”

The U.S. men’s and women’s artistic gymnastics Olympic Trials will still be held June 24-27, but the change of venue means trials will now be held concurrently with the USA Gymnastics Championships – set for June 21-27 – which serves as the annual USA Gymnastics national championships for all non-artistic disciplines, including acrobatic, rhythmic, and trampoline and tumbling. The event will also serve as the final Olympic selection event for the rhythmic and trampoline teams.

“Like so much of this past year, we know that these COVID-related changes are disruptive to fans and ticketholders,” said Li Li Leung, President and Chief Executive Officer of USA Gymnastics. “Nonetheless, we are looking forward to offering fans the chance to see Trials live and to celebrate so many of our disciplines and community in person this summer.”

The 2021 National Congress and Trade Show will also be held as planned at the America’s Center Convention Complex.

Due to the aforementioned reduced capacity limits and venue change, tickets originally purchased for trials at the Enterprise Center cannot be honored and all ticket-holders will have their tickets refunded. Those that would like to attend at the new venue will have the opportunity to purchase again through an exclusive pre-sale, while tickets last.

Per USA Gymnastics, “Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster and Fevo will automatically be refunded, and may take up to fifteen days to process. Ticket holders who purchased through another point of purchase should contact the vendor directly to receive a refund.”

Existing ticket-holders will receive a direct email with instructions for how to purchase new tickets before the end of May. If tickets are still available after the priority pre-sale, they will be made available to the general public in early June.
