7. The Nastia Liukin Fund is giving $100,000 to gyms in need during the pandemic.

A little over 11 years ago, I had this idea / crazy (big) dream that has come to life in ways bigger than I could have ever imagined. That little idea was the Nastia Liukin Cup. While most of you know all about that, perhaps some of you might not know the reasons behind the idea, and the passions that fueled it to become what it is today. Creating a gymnastics competition for the next generation of young gymnasts was incredibly important to me, but even more important was my drive to give back to the gymnastics community—a community that I am forever indebted to and grateful for. And so, the Nastia Liukin Fund was established. There have been 11 Nastia Liukin Cups, and ALL net proceeds from each Cup have gone back to the Nastia Liukin Fund. Today, I’m so thrilled to announce that the Nastia Liukin Fund is giving $100,000 to gyms in need during this global pandemic. It is with incredible sorrow that we recognize, due to the impact of the COVID-19 global pandemic, many gyms are facing extreme financial hardship, including difficulty paying the expenses necessary to continue operations. We want to help. Gyms who have had a Nastia Cup qualifier or participant over the course of the Cup are able to apply for the COVID-19 Hardship Grant from the Nastia Liukin Fund of The National Gymnastics Foundation using the link in my bio. We are here for you, and you are not alone. Xo, Nastia
