The second annual CGA All-Stars meet is set for December 16 at 5 p.m. Eastern Time on YouTube.

As the unofficial kickoff of the NCAA men’s gymnastics season, the meet will see the 15 current men’s NCAA teams pitted against one another in a regional battle of East vs. West.

The East team features athletes from Army, Illinois, Michigan, Navy, Ohio State, Penn State, Springfield, and William and Mary.

The West team features athletes from the Air Force Academy, California, Greenville, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Simpson, and Stanford.

Which teams are competing for the East and West teams for the 2023 CGA All-Stars meet.

The East team features athletes from Army, Illinois, Michigan, Navy, Ohio State, Penn State, Springfield, and William and Mary.

The West team features athletes from the Air Force Academy, California, Greenville, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Simpson, and Stanford.

2023 world medalists Paul Juda and Fred Richard headline the East team. Their fellow world team members and medalists Asher Hong and Khoi Young will lead the West team.

Both rosters are a who’s who of NCAA men’s gymnastics, with athletes having been selected for the competition based on their placement at last year’s NCAA championships.

The full team rosters for both squads are below.

The competition format is 4v4 on each event in a head-to-head format that utilizes the 10.0 scoring system. (Official men’s NCAA gymnastics competitions utilize the open-ended scoring system.) Lineups will be determined by the head coach of each team, with Michigan head coach Xiao Yuan leading the East and Stanford head coach Thom Glielmi leading the West.

The judging panel for each event will consist of four International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Brevet-certified judges. In addition to scoring out of a 10.0, routines will consist of six skills. There will be a base score of 7.6 (if all element groups are completed), and it’s possible to accumulate difficulty up to a 10.0.

The College Gymnastics Association (CGA) has partnered with gymnastics streaming platform Virtius to produce and stream the event on YouTube.
