The top eight men on floor and pommel horse compete for gold on each apparatus during the first day of event finals at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games on Sunday, August 1 at Ariake Gymnastics Centre. The top eight women on vault and uneven bars will do the same, with MyKayla Skinner (USA) and Melanie de Jesus dos Santos (FRA) replacing Simone Biles in each final, respectively.

The U.S. is represented in all four event finals, with Yul Moldauer (FX), Alec Yoder (PH), MyKayla Skinner (VT), Jade Carey (VT), and Suni Lee (UB) set to content for medals.
