The NCAA Gymnastics season was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t reason to celebrate.

In light of recent events, the College Gymnastics Association (CGA) has decided to award Regular Season All-America Honors for the first time in NCAA History.

Although official selection processes have not been announced for the CGA, it seems the All-Americans are the student-athletes with the top 8 national qualifying averages (NQA), including ties, of all meets prior to the end of the season. There is only one team for the men.

The Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) has also announced its Regular Season All-America teams, which are based on the national qualifying scores (NQS) of the meets that occurred before the season ended.

For the women, student-athletes with the top 8 NQS for the regular season (with ties) are awarded first-team honors on each event, plus in the all-around. Second-team honors are earned by athletes ranked No. 9-16 (with ties) in the NQS.
