Five-time reigning national champion Stanford leads the nation in the CGA’s preseason poll ahead of the 2025 men’s NCAA gymnastics season.

Released Tuesday, coaches from the 15 programs voted the Cardinal as the top team in the country heading into the 2025 season. Stanford received 249 points, including 13 first place votes. The only other team to receive first place votes was Michigan. The Wolverines earned 238 total points (4 first place).

10 parting thoughts from the men’s and women’s NCAA gymnastics championships

The upcoming season, which begins the second weekend of January, is sure to be filled with excitement. Stanford will look to extend its dynastic run of national titles to six, and Michigan (and others) will look to usurp the Cardinal. The Wolverines will host the national championship April 18-19 at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

While conference realignment won’t impact men’s NCAA as much as women’s, the Big Ten still leads the preseason poll. All five of the conference’s teams are in the top 8.
