Nine-team field announced for 2020 Elite Team Cup

INDIANAPOLIS, Jan. 27, 2020 – The teams representing all regions at the 2020 Elite Team Cup, which features the country’s top junior elite male gymnasts in a regional team competition, have been announced for the full nine-team field. Slated for February 20 at 12 p.m. MT at the Westgate Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev., the Elite Team Cup will run in conjunction with the 2020 Winter Cup Challenge, the men’s winter re-ranking event as well as the qualifier to the 2020 U.S. Championships, that features some of the U.S.’s biggest names in gymnastics. The Elite Team Cup features nine men’s Regional Teams, each consisting of six junior elite gymnasts. Team scores for the Elite Team Cup will be based on five athletes competing on each event with the top four scores on each event counting. The country’s best junior elite male gymnasts are representing their respective regions. The junior elite gymnasts must be between 13-18 years of age as of May 31, 2020 and were selected from the Regional Elite Team Program. The junior elite gymnasts will follow FIG Junior Code of Points rules for the competition. The event, first held in 2014, was staged in Greensboro Coliseum Complex in 2019.

All-session tickets will be $55 for adults and $45 for children/students. Elite Team Cup and Winter Cup Challenge Day 1 only tickets are available for $30 for adults and $25 for children/students. Winter Cup Challenge Day 2 only tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for children/students. Children under 5 are free. Tickets are available for purchase beginning at 4:00 p.m. MT on Wednesday February 19 at the Westgate Arena.
