Some of the gymternet’s favorite NCAA stars–including Maggie Nichols, Katelyn Ohashi, and Valorie “Miss Val” Kondos Field–are coming together for a virtual symposium this weekend, and you’re invited!

Miss Val is the keynote speaker of the 4th Annual gymSAFE Symposium. The legendary UCLA coach leads an all-star gymnastics line-up in discussing this year’s “Healthy Gymnast” theme: “Train Your Brain.”

The event–which will be held virtually over two days this weekend, Aug. 15 and 16–will cover relevant and timely athlete concerns such as sustaining passion for the sport during the COVID-19 pandemic and overcoming mental blocks when returning to the gym. The goal of the event is to help athletes manage fear, anxiety, and burnout, especially after unexpected long absences from the gym.

Others joining Kondos Field include Ohashi, a former elite and NCAA gymnast who has been a vocal advocate for change within the sport, and Nichols, who starred in the Netflix documentary “Athlete A” after being the first to step forward and report Larry Nassar to USA Gymnastics.

The symposium will be held from 1-3:30 p.m. PT on both Saturday, Aug. 15, and Sunday, Aug. 16. Tickets are just $15 for the two-day event and can be purchased here.
